One of a kind hand carved New Zealand Paua shell pendant with pearly blue green colours of the Ocean and highlights of pink & purple. Stunning breast plate design, hand engraved Maori Koru Love symbol. Bringing strength, love and harmony.
Sterling silver bindings and a hand plaited adjustable cord with secure slip knots. length adjustable from 38-65cm long

A truly unique pendant for a nature or Ocean lover.
Paua is unique to New Zealand. It is the Southernmost Abalone found around the rocky coast lines of NZ. The vibrant rainbow colours are highly reflective and they change with the light and why it is known as the opal of the Sea. The shell is a high quality nacre, the same natural material as Pearls. In Maori legend Paua is a treasure or Taonga from Tangaroa, the god of the Sea.
Measures 7.3cm or 2.9 inches across and 1.5cm wide.
Hung on a hand plaited black cord with bindings where it meets the paua shell. Slip knots allow the length to be adjustable, maximum length is 25 inches or 65cm.
Will arrive in a gift box and I include a hand written card describing the materials I have used and the symbolism of the design.
Shipping with DHL takes 1-2 weeks from New Zealand to the Northern Hemisphere depending on your location and is fully tracked.
Within NZ I post with NZ Courier which usually takes 2-3 days to arrive.
