Measuring 3 x 3 ½ cm, I am a miniature wearable journal with a tale to tell. Unravel my cover flap and you’ll discover a vintage illustration of a ship sailing in a stormy sea. I begin with the ship, and end with a tornado on a tumultuous ocean.

Filled with 36 sheets (72 pages) of tea-stained, hand-torn paper, I have been hand-stitched with Irish linen thread and bound in soft, reclaimed black leather. You can be sure your traveler’s tales will be safe with my sweet black leather tie, which wraps around me twice and tucks in on my back.

Along with an authentic vintage skeleton key measuring a mere 3 cm long, I am coupled with an 18mm wide magnifying dome in a vintage brass lace setting, featuring a selection of resized vintage postmarks from an 1800s envelope.

Hanging from a fine antique bronze mother-son link chain secured with a lobster clasp, my entire length pf 14 inches means you can read me, write in me and admire me all at once.

I would make an ideal gift for the traveller, nomad, artist, flaneur, gypsy, bibliophile, bookbinder, wanderer, poet, librarian, thinker…and particularly someone who just loves to travel.
