New Zealand Greenstone Pounamu~ Hand carved Roimata, bound with copper

A beautiful hand carved Roimata style drop pendant from New Zealand Greenstone or Pounamu. Carved from a river stone or pebble found in the Arahura river, Westland.
I have made a binding from pure copper to give a nice earthy contrast with the stone.
A very unique piece showing the beautiful varieties found in NZ greenstone. It has a nice translucency against the light.
A little piece of New Zealand Taonga or treasure.

Measures 3.3 inches or 8.5cm long. I have added a thick black cord with slip knots so it can be adjusted to long or short. 38-65cm long.

New Zealand greenstone is highly prized for its colour & hardness. The Maori people believe it is a Peace stone that brings an energy of renewal, justice, courage. It is a heart chakra stone, ideal for giving to a loved one.

Copper is a pure metal used by the ancients. It attracts positive energy and is known to aid the circulation.

Items within NZ are sent by Courier post which usually takes 2-3 days to arrive within NZ.
Overseas parcels are sent standard post and can take 2-3 weeks to arrive in the Northern hemisphere. Or please ask for an upgrade to DHL, this takes 6-10 days to arrive in the Northern Hemisphere.
Items are safely packaged in cardboard and recycled materials.
All parcels are tracked and You will receive a tracking number.
