Matariki Morepork - Ruru Linocut

This Is a linocut I carved of a New Zealand/Aotearoa native morepork/ruru with the 9 stars of Matariki. I drew this onto the lino then carved my design before inking and printing it using my Intaglio Fine Art Printing Press. As each print is inked by hand then rolled through the press each one is slightly different. Here I have used a pango/black waterbased ink on Italian made Fabriano printmaking paper. The size of the linocut is 15cm high by 21.7cm wide and the size of the paper is 20cm high x 25cm wide making it easy to source a ready made frame like the one photographed. This linocut is also available in Kikorangi Blue. Please let me know which colour you would like when ordering. Works on paper are backed with card and wrapped ready to post.
