Stained Glass Butterfly with Hanging Crystal

This wee beauty is created using the Tiffany method of construction. Each piece of glass has been hand cut, smoothed and copper-foiled then soldered together using 60/40 lead tin solder.
With Kokomo stained glass for the inner parts of the wings, this delicate butterfly will always be a one-off piece. Kokomo glass is known for its magnificently vibrant colours and unique combinations of colour, so no two creations can ever be the same; even those made from the same sheet of glass.
The antennae are made of stainless steel. The hanging wire is Tiger Tail and the crystal hanging below contains a small amount of lead to refract light, providing rainbow coloured “fairies” that dance around.
Measures approx. 8.5cm in width, 16cm in length including the hanging Tiger Tail wire and crystal. Measures approx 6cm from top of antennae to the bottom of the wings.
