Narcissus. Linocut Print on Zerkall.

Narcissus, or daffodil as it is commonly known, is a hopeful flower. It is an early sign that spring is on the way and warmer months are ahead.

"Narcissus" is a limited edition multiblock linocut print by Katie Russell. To create a range of tone and colour in this print, Katie has carved and printed 3 lino blocks: one for yellow, one for green and one black. Each block is inked by hand using a brayer and printed by Katie using an etching press. A photograph of the carved blocks is included to show an insight into this process (these are not included with the print).

Due to the handmade nature of this process, each print in this edition has a little bit of ink 'chatter' in the background which we have done our best to convey in the photos. We think this only adds to the uniqueness of each handmade print.

This print is a limited edition of 4 signed by the artist and printed on 145gsm Zerkall paper - a quality fine art paper often used in printmaking and book arts. This print measures 180mm x 220mm.

All prints are packaged in a protective sleeve with a cardboard backing, in a cardboard mailing envelope.
