Medieval prior’s pie

An attractive pie of fish and herbs served at a medieval priory on holy festival days. Deliberately minus decoration as befits a monastic establishment, this pie nevertheless displays impressive technique. The reinforced smooth outer wall would be very efficient in retaining the sauces used to ensure that the fish flesh was moist and succulent.
This miniature is crafted by hand from polymer clay, tinted with soft pastels and lightly glazed.
1:12 scale it is intended for collectors and is not suitable for young children without adult supervision.
