This item is a handcrafted miniature replica miners cottage on a stone base. This is a replica of the buildings and cottages you would have found during the gold rush era in early Central Otago. The other artifacts like the water wheel and cart are all handmade as well.

Can you spot the pure Central Otago gold nuggets in the gold pan?

Each model replica is crafted by hand with a hammer and chisel. The tin roof is snipped piece by piece from original rusty tin. The buildings and all of the accompanying parts are then mounted on a piece of Central Otago stone. These are made the same way that our ancestors built these buildings and cottages during their search for gold.
