I was playing around with textures and shapes and a variation on my usual riveted heart earrings when I made this pair of copper earrings. So far they are the only one I've made. Once I'd finished them I decided they reminded me very much of the Irish Claddagh, a traditional ring which I wore myself for years.

These earrings are a copper circle held free floating on on two small rings and decorated with a silver heart. They measure 3.5cm from the curve of the hook to the bottom of the earring.

Being a copper piece this can slowly oxidise and change colour over time, the copper has been sealed to slow this process as much as possible.
