These beautiful earrings are made from recycled sterling silver and recycled Ebony, which was sourced from an off-cut from a sculpture, by the Christchurch artist Matt Williams. I have embedded a 1.4mm sterling silver rod into the wood and then carefully sanded back the wood to reveal a cross cut view of it.

You will be amazed at how light and smooth these earrings are. Ebony is one of hardest woods around and it has the unique quality of achieving a stone like smoothness when polished.

These earrings are beautiful tiny sculptures in themselves, that you can wear!

Whats great about these

-I purchase the sterling silver from a New Zealand business, that manufactures a lot of their precious metals by refining recycled metals.

-The Wood I source is small off cuts that were otherwise destined for the fire.

-the fittings are made from 0.8mm round Sterling silver, shaped by me (Matt)

-beeswax finished

-they are super light you can wear these all day without discomfort.

- We use recycled cardboard for transport packaging and Jiffy recyclable paper mail bags

- $4 for tracked postage around New Zealand including Rural deliveries.

Full length of earring including fitting is 6.5cm.
