Stained Glass Fantail

Native to New Zealand this wee bird is a total delight and holds special meaning for many people.

Created using the Tiffany method of construction, each piece of glass has been hand cut, smoothed and copper-foiled then soldered together using 60/40 lead tin solder. The wire curls are stainless steel and the chain a standard jewellery grade from craft stores. The eye is painted directly onto the glass and is present on both side of the design.

Your fantail is available in a variety of colours. Those pictured are blue tones and the more realistic hues of brown and beige. The brown and beige is opaque glass which can be described as glass that is not see through, however it will diffuse light that goes through it making it more visible than the clearer glasses when there is low light or no backing light.

Optional to have chain to attach at two points or just a single length from one attachment point on the bird. See the difference in the pictures. There is the option to have one or two wire curls, or none at all (pricing remains the same). Design negotiable to suit buyer. Measures 25cm x 22cm (excluding the stainless steel curls).
