Strawberry Thief Earrings

William Morris was a poet, artist, philosopher, typographer, political theorist, and arguably the most celebrated designer of the Arts & Crafts movement. He strived to protect and revive the traditional techniques of handmade production that were being replaced by machines during the Victorian era’s Industrial Revolution. His magnificent wood block printing designs remain some of the most recognisable of that time and are still available today.

These earings feature Morris's 1883 design, 'Strawberry Thief', which depicts the thrushes which would steal strawberries from his kitchen garden at his home, Klemscott Manor. Morris printed this design using his favoured Indigo-Discharge, printing technique. 'Strawberry Thief' is one of William Morris's most recognisable designs.

25 mm glass domes in silver plate fittings with lever backs.
