Beech/Shell Earrings
Beech/Shell Earrings.
Made from beautifully dark beech picked up from West Coast beaches.
The shell pieces (from the West Coast) have been left untouched as the sea has shaped them, and have been epoxyed into the wood.
The contrast between the white shell and dark brown wood colour is stunning!
Recycled copper wire was used, finished with stainless steel hooks.
2 coats of natural oil has been applied to the timber.
Please note that although not visible, one of the earrings does have a hard to see crack in it, but I did not have another beautiful dark piece to replace it. So had to go with what I had.
The wood is 7.0cm long, 1.9cm at its widest, and 8mm thick.
From the bottom of the hook to bottom of the wood earring is 8.3cm long.
