A pure silk scarf created with eco printing, a contemporary process of bundling fabrics up with plant matter combined with age old traditions of creating dyes from natural resources foraged from the local environment.

This unique scarf has been hand created with peppermint gum leaves and an insect dye called lac. The leaves have been placed to leave a mirror image design. Plum highlights run through the centre and edges. Beautiful warm colours for a winter wardrobe.

Habotai is a woven lightweight silk with a smooth sheen and soft drape, a perfect weight for spring and summer but giving enough warmth to be versatile to wear in winter too. Organic colours have a lustrous iridescent quality on this natural fabric.

Scarf measures 179 cm x 31 cm. Silk weight 8 momme

Hand wash in a pH neutral detergent, I recommend a wool wash such as Ecostore Eucalyptus or Softly.
Line dry in the shade. Hot iron.

FREE GIFT WRAP ON REQUEST. Please state via site messaging if you would like your purchase gift wrapped, I use plant dyed papers and silk ribbons.
