Nigh Uncatchable: a pirate-themed necklace featuring a pewter ship, antiqued-silver seahorse and black Swarovski pearl

This necklace was inspired by Walt Disney's film 'Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl'. 'Nigh Uncatchable' features a bright pewter ship carrying full sail, speeding over the waves. She is flanked by a black Swarovski pearl to port, and an antiqued-silver coloured seahorse charm to starboard. The chain is gunmetal black in colour, with flattened, alternating long and short links.

Pewter is an alloy of tin (90% or more), copper, antimony, and sometimes bismuth. New pewter is bright and shiny, like silver, and usually oxidises over time to a darker silver-grey colour; so the shining ship pendant on this necklace will eventually tone down to a subtler silver-grey. This is not a fault; simply a natural and inherent property of pewter.
Swarovski pearls are made by the makers of the famous Swarovski crystal, and have a crystal core that simulates the weight and feel of a real pearl. They are fade- and perfume-resistant, with a luxuriously smooth, flawless finish; and are generally regarded as the best imitation pearls on the market.

This is a one-off Silverlight Jewellery design.
The necklace measures 47.5cm, including the clasp. The lobster-claw clasp can be clipped onto any of the longer links in the chain, making this necklace easily adjustable. The ship measures 36mm from top to bottom, and 26mm across at its widest point. The seahorse charm measures 22mm from top to bottom, including the baile (hanging loop), and has the same design on both sides. The faux pearl is 10mm across.
