Ecrou Poupee

Mimi thought these dolls looked like acorn dolls and Rufus thought they looked very French, hence the name. Well actually the French translation for acorn was not very appealing so we went with "nut" instead.

These are made for lots of love and hugs and adventures.

Each doll is unique as we don't use any pattern. We start out by making the head and go from there. Everything is hand made even the knitting and crochet elements. The eyes have been embroidered. All the clothes and hair are sewn in place which makes them safe for little ones.

This poupee has a pixie hat knitted in Alpaca and wool and the scarf has been crocheted in Alpaca and wool. The dress is made from sweet antique Liberty fabric. The head is made from 100% cotton knit fabric and the body from Merino. The hair is wool which has been combed numerous times to give it a lovely soft silky feel.

The doll is 34cm from top of pom pom to toe.
