Landscape wall quilt

This small wall quilt ( 43 x 32 cm ) depicts the Canterbury Plains, my home.
I used my own hand dyed 100% cotton lawn and foundation piecing techniques to depict the many coloured fields, the dark foothills of summer and the windy skies.
I hand quilted diagonal lines to suggest the glancing rays of sunlight across the landscape.
This would be a beautiful gift for anyone who loves the sunny Canterbury Plains.
It would illuminate a small area such as a hallway, giving a feeling of a window looking out at a view.
A wall quilt is light to hang and will not break if it falls down ( we are nervous about earthquakes here!) It can be hand washed if an accident befalls it, the colours will not run.
