Our farm is at Hunter, just off Highway one
210 hectares of land fed by wind, rain and sun
Over 400 sheep and 60 beef cows
Provide some of the work for a few of the hours
September arrives and it's the start of Spring
New born lambs and calves a wonderful thing
Sheep shearing takes place two times a year
Early July, then December, just before New Years cheer
Each sheep produces about 2 kilos of wool
The Farmer weaves to blankets, soft, warm and beautiful
Put it on your bed as an underlay,
or as a duvet inner and it's "hygge" you'll say
Thanks and enjoy.
Hunter Hills woven wool blanket is the ultimate wool blanket. The queen size blanket is approximately 1.9m x 2.1m. This blanket weighs just over 4kg.(over 1000gsm) They can be used as a blanket a throw as well as an underlay or as a duvet inner. I believe the best use for them is as a duvet inner, and it will surprise you just how soft, warm, cosy and comfortable they are. They are handwoven using organically grown wool. The blankets can also be custom made so if you have a particular size you need let me know.
I am happy to send a blanket to you to try as an underlay/mattress topper or as a duvet inner, and once you have tried them and see how warm, comfortable and cosy they are then you can pay for it.
If you are thinking about using them as a rug or throw I can add a splash of colour to them. (see the last photo)
For more information about the farm , the wool and the blankets you can check out my instagram account @theshedandbreakfast.
Cheers David
PS As you can see from the last photo even the lambs on the farm know how warm and comfortable the wool is that is used in the blankets.
