Hector's Dolphins Hanging Mobile

This is an original design, Danish-styled decorative mobile. It is of 6 Hector's dolphins, which live in the coastal waters of New Zealand.

It's an indoor mobile which moves in the lightest of air currents. Perfect for a bedroom, lounge, living room or study. When a light shines on it, shadows of 'swimming dolphins' will be cast onto the wall behind it. It inspires a peaceful, contemplative mood.

Made of wire, cotton and hand-cut light card-stock.

Designed, painted, scanned, printed, hand-cut, inked in, assembled, glued and packaged in my home workshop.

Handmade, from concept to completion, by me.

When hanging, the mobile is approx 57cm wide x 30cm high (then add on the adjustable hanging cotton length).

The dolphin lengths are 92mm, 95mm, 112mm (mother and calf), 111mm, 94mm.

This mobile is deliberately set out on one plane to convey a sense of orderly peacefulness.

The cotton for hanging the mobile is approximately 1m long. A map-pin for hanging the mobile is included.
