Hibernating Hedgehog Kit - A decoration for your home

This kit is for a little hedgehog that is created by carefully making two pompoms. The kit includes a printed colour pattern that shows you exactly how to make the little hedgehog and how to knit the leaves it is nestled into. Everything you need is included and can be seen in the photos. There is yarn, a pair of safety eyes (and nose), a cardboard pompom template, soft fabric for the ears and feet, and the paper mâché globe for displaying your finished item. Please note that paint for decorating the globe is not included, nor are the tools for making (e.g. scissors, knitting needles).

To make this kit as eco-friendly as possible I have upcycled a lovely tin for packaging and the pompom templates are made from thin recycled card (usually from tea boxes). The yarn is wound onto cardboard bobbins for you to use and the safety eyes are packaged in paper.

This kit would suit someone who is able to knit basic stitches already, and is wanting a quick project that will increase their skill base. The knitted leaves are simple to make, techniques used are knit and purl stitches, working a small i-cord, and making basic increases and decreases.
