An easy-care dwarf bean with a compact growth that needs no support. Produces a good crop of tender green beans with a nice fresh crispness, and a lovely flavour. I’ve grown these in decent-sized pots with great success.
Pick pods young for maximum tenderness. Dwarf beans like sun. They are not too fussy about soil but a general feed before sowing the seed can only help.
Sow 3cm deep and 10 cm apart, in rows spaced about 50cm apart, after spring frosts. Plant throughout spring and summer, and they will reach maturity in 8-10 weeks. Water regularly.
