There is a beautiful sheen on these perfectly lovely AA Grade Black freshwater cultured pearls with the a/b effect (a/b/ stands for aurora borealis, also known as the oil slick effect). This design is simple and elegant. I have placed a tiny silver crystal rondelle on top of the pearl together with a tiny silver turban bead - you'll love wearing these gorgeous pearls!

Hypoallergenic classic Sterling Silver hook
The pearls measure approx. 0.8cm and the earrings measure just under 3cm from the top of the hook

Cultured pearls are just as real as the natural variety. They grow inside the mollusk in exactly the same way. They are not imitation, and they are not fake. ... The majority of cultured pearls available today derive from freshwater mussels and saltwater pearl oysters. Some cultured pearls are naturally coloured (more expensive) and some are coloured (less expensive). Both natural and coloured pearls can fade if left in the sunlight for long periods.
