What were you doing on the 29th of July, 1981? Ah the 80’s, I remember them fondly. Big hair, bold jewellery, dancing around handbags with your girlfriends, drinking ‘fluffy ducks’… and on the 29th of July, sitting around the telly watching possibly the most viewed event in the world – the marriage of Charles and Di.
In the lead up there was no end of preparation, least of all by souvenir manufacturers as they raced to commemorate the ‘big day’. At Grey St Studio we like a little bit of kitsch history as much as the next person, so we’re thrilled with this corker cushion crafted lovingly from Ulster No. 2 Irish Linen tea towels.
With a hand-made inner – cotton lining with polyester filling pictured above – Chales & Di are ready to grace the most royal of thrones. As with all quality linens even the most persistent corgi hair or shortbread crumbs are easily brushed off, although if desired the covers are removable if need be.
Measuring 470mm x 350mm, Charles & Di are looking forward to bringing a little bit of kitsch to your home and a cuddle on the couch.
Please note this listing is for one cushion only.
