Ecrou Poupee

Mimi thought these dolls looked like acorn dolls and Rufus thought they looked very French, hence the name. Well actually the French translation for acorn was not very appealing so we went with "nut" instead.

These are made for lots of love and hugs and adventures.

Each doll is unique as we don't use any pattern. We start out by making the head and go from there. Everything is hand made even the knitting and crochet elements. The eyes have been embroidered. All the clothes and hair are sewn in place which makes them safe for little ones.

This poupee has a hand knitted and hand crochet scarf, both in wool. Her plaits are wool. Her legs are made from merino wool fabric and her head and arms from cotton knit fabric. Her romper is made from Japanese cotton lawn fabric.

We don't normally make these with arms (which are moveable) but had a request for a custom order which didn't go ahead.

The doll is 34cm from top of hat to toe.
