Hard maple chopping/serving board with copper handle

Designed & hand made using hard maple in vertical strips laminated together to house the boards copper handle. We have used Hard maple for the the board as it is one of the timbers of choice as ideally the timber used for a board is recommended to have an edible nut, fruit or syrup. The copper handle has been used as it is inherently antimicrobial, meaning it will kill bacteria, viruses & fungi that settle on its surface. The board has been conditioned using Canterbury grown walnut oil which penetrates deeply into the timber & also Is rubbed with bee's wax. These finishes are easily maintainable by simply rubbing on with a cloth as the board requires it. These finishes are natural & food safe & if maintained will give you many years of use.

The boards dimensions are 475mm long x 235mm wide x 33mm thick.
