Fused Glass Sunflower Bowl - large

This fused glass sunflower bowl is made from a beautiful streaky glass combining transparent yellow, opaque yellow and clear for the petals. The centre of the flower is a bronze coloured glass with crushed bronze glass surrounded by black and silver iridescent balls of glass. Each petal is hand cut so no two bowls are the same.
This piece was fired in the kiln twice. The first fusing, at a lower temperature than normal, meant that the petals and glass balls in the centre retain lovely definition whilst still being gently rounded. The second firing used heat and gravity so that the glass flower slumped into a ceramic mold.
The bowl measures approximately 290mm in diameter and is 50mm deep. Please check my other listings for a smaller version of this bowl.
