About the artist: Liz Abbott works full-time as an artist from her Blueskin Bay studio, drawing inspiration for her original oil paintings and pastels from the landscape around her. A well-known New Zealand painter, Liz has twice won the Telecom Art Awards in the Otago region and won the Cleveland Small Works Award in 2005. Liz gained a Master of Fine Arts in painting in 2003. She has exhibited widely in NZ including solo exhibitions at the Hocken Library and the Marshall Seifert Gallery in Dunedin. Her work can be found in private and public collections both in NZ and around the world.
