Original Limited Edition Woodcut Print - "Two Cherries"

I was considering some of the things I most love about a New Zealand Christmas when sketching ideas for a few cards for family and friends, and into my head popped two big luscious dark-skinned cherries – the kind we enjoy while visiting friends in Marlborough.

This is an original limited edition (1/10) relief print (based on my initial sketches) and it was made by hand-carving a woodblock and printing it on high quality archival acid-free printmaking paper.

The block was inked up with Akua printmaking ink (non-toxic) using a hand roller and then printed using a hand-operated printing press.

It’s quite cute and would look great framed in a kitchen / dining room setting, or anywhere else you’d care to put it.

Each print is numbered, signed, titled and dated before being posted. The block size is approximately 8.5cm (width) by 10.5cm (length). It fits into a variety of standard frame sizes with a made-to-measure matte board. The print has a generous border around it to allow for flexibility.

Please note that this is a handmade print edition and variations between prints can occur. I love this as it adds a touch of magic and an element of the unknown to the process. The variations give each individual print their own unique character.
