Medium sized patiki kete handmade from New Zealand harakeke (flax) with koru detailing on front. Due to natural variation in the colour of the flax and the dying process every kete made is 'one of a kind'.
This kete is 35 x 20 cm (approx) in size.
The strap length is 80 cm (from end to end). This length is suitable for wearing over shoulder and tucking under arm or hand carry. The strap is plaited from four strands of flax resulting in a very neat strong finish.
Flax was boiled and dyed prior to weaving and is suitable for sending overseas. This kete is made from a combination of dyed (black) and natural flax. The natural un-dyed flax will dry over time to a lighter cream colour, enhancing the contrast. Best stored out of direct sunlight to prolong colour of dyed flax.
