Who says carrots have to be orange? White Belgian carrots are a tasty treat raw or cooked. They have a strong “carroty” flavour that means they are often used for stocks, soups and stews. They’re a vigorous, healthy variety that achieves a good size.

Like all carrots, they like a light, lump-free soil and little feeding. Sow in early spring, 3-5 weeks before the last frost, in shallow drills (or just broadcast them - rows are not compulsory!). Barely cover the seeds with a very fine layer of soil and pat down. Try and get the tiny seeds 5cm apart and be prepared to thin as the young carrots grow. You can of course eat the thinnings!

Water regularly and plant successions.

Contents: 1 teaspoon of seed
