Combining traditional Maori flaxweaving with my other passion of silversmithing I have produced a range of jewellery celebrating the unique cultural heritage of Aotearoa.
Woven by hand from solid sterling silver these hoops use the traditional mekameka braid.
They measure approximately 4cm long with the hooks measuring 2cm and the braid 2cm.square.
There is also a version available which has a smooth end -see photo no.3.
As each piece is handmade there will be small variations in each piece but if you are not satisfied with them I accept returns.
