These earrings feature oval cloisonné beads in deep blues, decorated with curled shapes in old-looking silver metal, with small antiqued-silver coloured beads at top and bottom.
The ear hooks are made of brass, plated with silver, then antiqued (artificially aged) for a vintage look.

Cloisonné is an ancient art whereby metal hollows or cavities, outlined by ridges or strands (sometimes twisted like ropes) of metal, are filled with coloured glass enamel. The result is shimmering colours on a metallic (often gold or silver) background.

A small flaw on one of the cloisonné beads is visible in the photographs, but it hangs next to the face when worn and is thus almost invisible.
'Nila' is a name that means 'dark blue' in Sanskrit. These earrings are a one-of-a-kind design.
The 'Nila' earrings measure 47mm from top to bottom. The cloisonné beads measure 12mm across at their widest.
