These sweet little acorns have antiqued copper caps, and are made of faceted, firepolished Czech glass beads. Czech glass is famous worldwide for its high quality. Firepolishing is a technique whereby the beads are 'polished' by subjecting them to a very hot flame, creating a bright, shiny surface. Firepolished glass sparkles almost like crystal. These glass beads are in a vivid, fresh green hue called 'olivine'.

If you have ever planted an acorn and watched as it grew into a little sprout, then into a weak sapling, and finally a strong young tree will be aware of the incredible power that such a tiny thing possesses. Every massive, staunch oak tree began as a small, ineffectual acorn. Acorns always remind me of the inexorable power of nature, as they will grow almost anywhere and will slowly, subtly push everything else aside as they reach ever higher toward the sky. May these earrings remind you to be persistent, adaptable, and true to yourself.

The 'Persistent Acorn' earrings measure 37mm from top to bottom. The 'tiny but potent' acorn dangles are 21mm tall, including the wire-wrapped baile (hanging loop), and 13mm wide.
The ear-hooks are made of copper.
