Mighty Tree earrings in silver with sparkly, peridot green Czech glass on silver-plated ear-wires

Antiqued-silver coloured charms, depicting strong, upright trees, are the focus of these earrings. Above them are gracefully arched, silver-plated ear-wires, accented with a single, faceted, Czech glass bead in peridot green.
I have a thing about trees. They are so majestic, so calming; so strong and imposing but so beautiful and fragile. These earrings were created in honour of trees: the lungs of our planet.
Czech glass is famous worldwide for its high quality. Firepolishing is a technique whereby the beads are 'polished' by subjecting them to a very hot flame, creating a bright, shiny surface. Firepolished glass sparkles almost like crystal. These glass beads are in a colour called 'peridot/olive': a leafy peridot green.
These earrings are also available with other shades of green glass here in my Felt shop. The final photograph shows these earrings with 'green iris' glass beads.
The 'Mighty Tree' earrings are also available in an antiqued bronze colour here in my Felt shop.
The 'Mighty Tree' earrings measure 53mm from top to bottom. The 'small but mighty' trees are 22mm tall, including the baile (hanging loop), and 17mm wide.
The ear-wires are brass based and are without nickel. However, if you would prefer stainless steel, silver plated ear-wires, just leave a message in the 'notes for whiteleaf' field that will appear when you check out of Felt. The stainless steel ear-wires will shorten the length of the earrings by 4-5mm.
The glass beads have been simply slid onto the ear-wires, so it is recommended that you keep the ear-wires closed so that the beads do not slip off and get lost. Keeping the earrings hanging, rather than jumbled up in a jewellery box, will help to ensure that the ear-wires do not get opened or bent by other jewellery pieces pushing against them.
