A beautiful plump kereru / wood pigeon perches on a branch.
Many subtle shifting hues of colours and different washes have been layered up to capture the iridescent nature of the kereru's feathers. Then it has been professionally printed using archival inks on Hahnemuhle William Turner 310gms cotton rag paper. This particular paper is just gorgeous, it has the appearance of water-colour paper and has been specifically created for longevity when used with pigmented inks.
