An annual flowering plant, phacelia is also known as purple tansy. It’s originally native to the Southwestern United States and northern Mexico.

Phacelia is widely used in agriculture as a weed-suppressing cover crop and an attractant for bees and predatory beneficial insects, and it’s just as useful in the home garden. It has gorgeous long, coiling, mauve clusters of nectar-rich flowers which open in sequence, giving a long flowering period.

Sow direct from spring to autumn in a sunny spot. Water sparingly but regularly. Self-seeds readily. Grows rapidly to about 50cm in height.

Contents: 1/2 teaspoon of seed
