Ode To Waiheke Book Necklace

At 2.5 cm x 3 cm, I'm a usable, wearable little journal that you can write or draw in. Dressed in a wee piece of vintage black leather from an olde bag, I am filled with 30 pages (60 singes) of tea-stained, hand-torn fine art paper by Canson. Stitched with archival linen thread, my pages are complimented with sky blue head & tail bands.

I am coupled with an 18 mm wide magnifying cabochon featuring one of Bibliographica's photographs taken on the coastal headlands of Waiheke Island. Set into an antique bronze scalloped bezel, the muted colours in the photograph are echoed in the book's pages & headbands.

We hang from an antique bronze mother-son link chain, which closes with a lobster clasp. Our total length when around the neck measures 12.5 inches long.
