Big Bunny's Anasazi Indian Beans (Climbing)

Listing image #302327
Listing image #302328
The ancient Anasazi Indian Bean is believed to be bred from beans preserved in a 1500 year old pitch-filled pot, found in a cave in in New Mexico which was once used by the lost Anasazi Indian tribe.

These piebald maroon and white beans are flavourful and easier to digest than some varieties – so if beans make you gassy you might want to try these! It is best used as a dry storing bean. Try it in casseroles and chillies.

Big Bunny reckons these beans are halfway between a bush bean and a climber in growth habit. They do climb, but tend to sprawl a bit and need some encouragement to cling to their supports.

Plant in spring when the soil is warming and all risk of frosts has passed.

Contents: 30 beans
