The focal bead for this pendant has been sitting amongst my bead stash for quite some time waiting for inspiration. It caught my eye when I bought it because of the beautiful deep green glass and its unique clarity. It is made with terbium, a rare earth metal that gives the glass extra clarity and depth in colour. The focal bead is emerald cut with soft facets to reflect light.
I have wrapped the bead with an ornately designed brass dragon fly, that hangs from a filigree brass bail. The finished length of the pendant is 5.4 cm and hangs from a simple 50 cm brass drawn cable chain.
