Wooden ruler growth chart

This measuring stick has been designed to look like an old fashioned ruler using feet and inches.

I initially just made this for myself as a holiday project because I wanted to create a record of the childrens growth that we could take with us if we moved. This design reminded me of my late Grandpa’s builders rule that we used together in his workshop…wonderful happy memories. I’ve had so many requests to produce them for sale that I have finally got organised and am now making them on a “made to order” basis.

Made from clears pine timber with a light paint wash, the numbers and measurements are hand stenciled onto the timber using a special black acrylic paint art pen. Because this is made from natural timber each one will have a unique timber grain finish and will not look exactly the same as the one pictured.

It is designed to be mounted above the skirting board on your wall so I have allowed a 6 inch clearance which should accommodate most household skirting, however if you require more please just let me know so I can customise this in production.

Your measuring stick comes with brackets ready for mounting and detailed mounting instructions. The white marker pen which was used to mark heights in the photographed measuring stick is also included in this price.

You may like to do what I have done and convert all the measurements from your children’s Plunket books into feet and inches so I could mark them up from birth.
