'Ball bag' A cheeky, modern take on vintage knitting bags.

You know the super cool vintage bags you sometimes stumble across in the op shop, with the sweet wooden ball handles? Well, this is a modern, Croutons/Toast take on those.
A few years ago, I contacted a local (Whakatane) wood turner and had him make me a few sets of wooden handle ends, out of beautiful solid timber. Each set is handmade with care (by a lovely older gentleman, named Ian..)
I then made a pattern for an oversized carry-all type bag, to be made in super sweet fabrics, with an applique on the front. This one has cute vintage kerchief print on the inside, navy cord outer and a sweet pair of sewing shears. The inside has a big double pocket, done up with vintage buttons.
These make wonderful nappy, craft or just general-everyday-full-of-stuff bags.

Plus, watch everyone giggle when you say 'hang on, I just need to grab my 'ball bag'! Heh.

The bags measure approx 52cms x 37cm and the handles are 65cm
