Felt Newsletter – March 2010

At Craft2.0 earlier this month, many people commented to me that Felt has grown so much lately, and they're right – it really has! There are now nearly 1000 talented sellers listing their creations on Felt, and the range of products is getting bigger every day.

Show me the (Easter) bunny!

Now, we all know that there's more to Easter than bunnies, but rabbits are pretty popular here at Felt HQ and it's rare that my job legitimately entails sharing my small obsession with you lovely folk, so, as there's no shortage of lagomorphic loveliness on Felt, I've picked out a few of my favourite bunnies.

Clockwise from top left: Sleepytime Bunny by Cotton Kiwi; Afternoon Tea No. 2, The Snow Rabbit by Minu; Fancy Rabbit Brooch by In My Backyard; Woodland Folk Cushion: Hoppity Hoppity Bunny by Bam Bam Creative.

Of course, bunnies aren't for everyone, so if you're more inclined to indulge in a little chocolate for Easter, check out She Chocolat. Based in Governor's Bay near Christchurch, their chocolates are all handcrafted and absolutely divine.

Pulling out the winter woolies...

There's a chill in the air and I hear tell of wild weather around the country, heralding the onset of winter. It's this time of year that knitters' fingers start to twitch and all sorts of luscious warm clothes and accessories start popping up on Felt.

Clockwise from left: Extra Large Crochet Cowl by Apricot; Handspun Ear Flap Hat by Spunout; Men's Business Scarf by Design and SKC.

There's heaps of gorgeous hats and scarves available on Felt at the moment, including Apricot's luxurious cowls. Available in 9 different colours, these are lovely, and large enough to cover your neck and shoulders, so they'll keep you snug and stylish as the weather gets colder. For the kids, check out super cute hats by Spunout and Creativaertz, and even the guys are well catered for this season, with fine wool scarves from Design and SKC and Little Stella.

Keep in touch...

It's always lovely to hear your feedback and suggestions, and it's great to see the crafty conversations underway on the Felt forum. We'll be rolling out some big changes on Felt over the coming months, so watch out for a new look and some new features, and of course heaps of new products! Keep warm and until next time...
