Fruit Bowl Craft Jam, Hawke’s Bay

This weekend sees the return of the wildly successful Fruit Bowl Craft Jam at Hawke’s Bay Opera House Plaza. This year it’s two fabulous events rolled into one, kicking off at 5pm this Saturday 3 December with Starry Starry Craft until 9pm and continuing on Sunday morning with The Morning (Cr)after from 10am till 2pm. It’s a total craftathon!

Jess and Jo, the founders of the Fruit Bowl Craft Jam, are holding the mother of all Stitch and Bitch sessions on Tuesday 13 September. It’s at Opera Kitchen in Hastings, the venue of the hugely successful Craft Jam for Christchurch in March. The very cool doco Handmade Nation will screen at around 6.30 pm and there’ll be knitting, crocheting, felting, stitching and yarning till about 9.30pm.

Jewellery artists Charmayne Dobbs and Ingrid Schloemer invite you to attend their second Summer Silver Retreat in Haumoana, Hawke’s Bay on 12 and 13 March 2011. Over the two days, they’ll give tuition in the creation of silver jewellery using precious metal clay. An experience for all senses and a time to meet like-minded people and make new friends!
