Last year’s debut Fabric-a-Brac in Auckland successfully attracted more than 40 stall holders and an estimated four hundred craft and sewing enthusiasts, and this year’s pre-Christmas event promises to be even better.
This international fabric event has returned to the capital with new organisers and a new venue. There will be fabric, haberdashery and patterns galore, as well as tea, coffee, sweet treats and a huge table of donated fabric to raise money for Hospice.

Fabric-a-brac is the ultimate destash – a sale for lovers of fabrics, haberdashery and trims. Some people book a table and bring their fabric to sell, and others just come to buy.

Fabric-a-brac returns to Palmerston North this Saturday 20 August for a morning of fabulous fabric and haberdashery shopping. Head along to Crossroads Hall at the corner of Church and Cook Streets from 9am till 12.30pm for your chance to score some crafty gems that have been hiding away in Manuwatu cupboards. There’s some amazing finds, especially from Levin and its surrounding regions that once hosted lots of textile factories.
