Take a Craft2.0 Workshop and fight crochet alienation!

crochetworkshop

Discover why it’s so easy to get hooked on crochet with Amy of The Loop Knittery at the Craft2.0 introductory class in crochet, from 10am till 12pm on Sunday 7 June at the Arts Centre of Christchurch.

Amy can knit with her eyes closed and crochet like a demon. She’ll show you how to get started on a simple crochet project creating an alien arigurumi (small Japanese-style soft toy). By the end of the class you’ll have learnt how to read a basic pattern and select the correct yarn and hook to suit. You’ll leave with a small finished alien, your very own crochet hook, yarn and the following skills:

• 3 basic crochet stitches
• gauge: choosing the right yarn and hook
• crochet terminology and reading a simple pattern

Each Craft2.0 Workshop costs $60 person, which includes all materials. All equipment is provided. So what are you waiting for? Register online now!

Amy is also the organiser of Worldwide Knit in Public Day in Christchurch from 11am till 3pm on Saturday 13 June. Bring along your knitting or crochet project to the Dux de Lux on Hereford Street and join the fun!
