If you use Paypal to accept payments you need to check something to ensure your customers can actually pay you.
There’s a subtle but important difference between a personal Paypal account and a business account and to accept payments on Felt you need a business account.
Business accounts allow your customers to pay with their own credit card without setting up a Paypal account, whereas not all personal accounts let you do this. Our support team is getting a lot of help requests because of this problem and there’s nothing we can do at our end to fix it.
You can check which account type you have in Paypal by going to settings (the cog icon) » Account preferences. If you don’t have a section on the left side titled “Business Profile” then you probably have a personal account.
If you have a personal account you need to set up a business account. It takes a few minutes and all you then need to do on Felt is add the email address for your new Paypal account to your payment preferences.
