Happy birthday Craft 2.0! Saturday 23 April

Craft 2.0, 10am–3pm, Saturday 23 April, Wellington

The queen of all craft fairs returns to the Dowse Art Museum on Saturday and this time, Craft 2.0 is celebrating its 5th birthday! That’s five whole years of fabulous fairs featuring the work of incredibly talented local crafters and designers.

Head along to the Dowse in Lower Hutt from 10am till 3pm on Saturday 23 April for one of New Zealand’s finest selections of premium handmade products, all locally made, from the edible to the wearable. Jewellery, cards, toys, ceramics, baby clothes, cupcakes, t-shirts, hats and bags made with quality materials by individuals who are passionate about their art – even if you’re just browsing, Craft 2.0 is a fabulous day out.

If you’re a regular visitor, you might like to consider becoming a Friend of Craft 2.0 for VIP benefits, including a quarterly newsletter, early entry to the fair and a surprise treat at every Craft 2.0.

As if all this excitement wasn’t enough, this Craft 2.0 also features Wellington’s premiere jam competition. If you consider yourself something of a jam connoisseur, don’t miss the judging of Jam Off 2011 at around 2pm.

The New Zealand craft community and the many thousands of people who have visited Craft 2.0 over the last five years have Sue Tyler to thank for her amazing vision and the massive amount of hard work, energy and love she has put into making it happen. Craft 2.0 has become a destination event for handmade enthusiasts around the country and a hugely supportive platform and community for crafters.

I think I speak for the Felt community in wishing Craft 2.0 a super happy birthday and many more years of awesome fairs, gorgeous craft and of course, cupcakes. Congratulations to Sue and the Craft 2.0 team, and have a wonderful day on Saturday!
