Textile, fibres such as wool and silk; I am just in love with them!....
The real joy of my creations lies in the making process, which is something unstoppable. Inspiration will strike anywhere, anytime. It is triggered by the smallest things, although nature and practicality have a large influence.
Making the same thing too many times in a row would drive me to boredom, so I create a variety of objects and change them at will.
My “Bush Babies” reflect NZ flora and fauna and are made from handblended merino wool, felted and lovingly handstitched to my own pattern. They have simple faces so that a child can imagine any emotion ; in the Rudolph Steiner style. They are meant for gentle play , or for a nature display table in your home.
