Welcome to Slipstitch, thanks for taking the time to check out my store.
The name of my business stems from the fact that I simply "fell into" sewing after seeing so many wonderful handmade products on the market and I felt inspired to create something of my own.
What started as a distraction from the aftermath of the 2010 earthquake, has grown into a lovely little business and through the amazing support of friends and family, I am able to share my newfound passion with you.
Ideas pop into my head all the time and whether it's from a simple picture in a magazine, a beautiful piece of fabric or seeing something quirky in a shop, I love the way an idea develops and letting it run it's course. I get a real buzz selecting all of the different materials needed to start a new project and the feeling of accomplishment after completing a new project is amazing.
So pop the kettle on, find a comfy spot and have a browse. I hope you like what you see!
