I've always liked making stuff. Mostly stuff that in some way involves paper. (I can't sew to save myself, so if you're after something that requires the use of a needle and thread, leave now.) Mostly the stuff I make is written, but more and more I find myself making stuff with my hands (and injuring them with sharp objects). I find it relaxing - a way to get outside of all the stressful stuff like work and concentrating really hard - and it brings me joy. I like it best when it brings joy to others. Sort of like meditation with scissor and glue.
I think all my loved ones are probably sick of receiving variations on the same old stuff I make as gifts (and/or think I'm a little bit deranged for persisting with them), so the time has come for me to foist my craftings on the world at large.
